The “Otway 3 Day “kicks off at Deans Marsh with an overnight stay
with plenty of bench racing and pre-ride entertainment. Riding from 8:30 AM on Day 1 visiting the challenging
Paddy
Swamp
area and the sandy Angelsea Heath and onto Aireys Inlet for lunch. We'll ride the
back trails and part of Gt Ocean Rd
heading to our overnight stay in Wye
River covering approx 160km.
Dinner at the awesome Wye River Hotel.
Day 2 heads out in the rain forest north of Wye River
before our lunch stop at the Forrest pub. After lunch we'll tackle and the vast pine plantations and state forests
around Gellibrand for an overnight stay. Approx 160km.
Day 3s ride is through the lush
rainforests in the Forrest Area before finishing up in Deans Marsh in the early
afternoon. Approx 150km. Arrival time back at Deans Marsh is around 4 PM. After a quick hot shower
for those who wish, we'll finish the weekend off with a BBQ and a few beers.
Facilities are available for those who want to wash their bike. It is without a doubt the best 3 days of riding the
Otways has to
offer.
What to bring:
- Your weapon of choice with a full tank and standard muffler or quiet
aftermarket
unit fitted
- Some 2 Stroke oil for those who have one.
- Motorcycle license.
- Full registration plate and sticker
- New tyres ( especially if its wet )
- Riding gear including Motorcycle boots, helmet, goggles, gloves, bum bag with tools for your bike, camelback, warm jacket
- Sleeping bag, or swag and pillow for transport.
- Overnight bag with change of clothes for transport by support vehicle
- Some drinking money for pubs.
Otway 3 Day includes:
- 3 Day Guided tour
- All fuel (after 1st tank )
- 3 days breakfast, pub Lunches, and dinners at the Wye River,
Gellibrand Hotel.
- 3 nights accommodation at Deans Marsh, Wye River, Gellibrand.
- Showers, bike wash facilities and BBQ with drinks at the completion of the ride.
- Back-up support with radio communications between guides, support and sweep
rider
- DVD footage and pics taken and compiled later to DVD.
- Guides with more than 40 years of combined trail riding and 15 years of
Enduro racing experience, There’s nothing about trail bike riding that our
guides don't know or have a wealth of knowledge about.
