Otway Off-Road bring you “Adventure"
style tours in 2008. Our adventure tours are aimed
at your big bore style adventure bikes such as the KTM 640/690, 950/990 or your
BMW 650, 800, or 1200 GS models. Our tours depart from Aireys Inlet on the
Saturday morning and
transverse the magnificent Otway national park via the Anglesea Heath, Deans
Marsh, Lorne, Wye River, Johanna, through light trails, back country roads and
the awesome Gt Ocean Road
before we head for the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell for or
overnight stay. Dinner is provided by the 12 Rocks Restaurant Bar with a
stunning view over the bay at Port Campbell.Day 2 starts at 9AM after a continental breakfast,
before heading out into the Otway Ranges backcountry around Cobden and Lavers
Hill before our lunch stop at Gellibrand. The ride
then transverses the vast pine plantations around Barramunga and continues
through more rain forest behind Lorne. Our adventure then finishes up on the Gt
Ocean Rd from Lorne to our final
destination back at Aireys Inlet.
The ride covers approximately 280km per day, 60/40 Dirt Road/Trail
, Tar.
What to bring:
- Your road/trail "Adventure" weapon of choice with a good set of
tyres and a full tank
- Standard mufflers or quiet aftermarket units fitted. (put the bungs
back in)
- Motorcycle license.
- Registration plate and sticker
- Riding gear including motorcycle boots, helmet, goggles, gloves, bum bag with tools for your bike, warm jacket.
- Good tyres
- Overnight bag with change of clothes, toiletries and beer money, to be transported
by support vehicle
Otway Adventure tour includes:
